Seungri releases explicit teaser for “Let’s Talk About Love”

Big Bang’s Seungri is coming back to the local music scene with his second mini-album and he is bringing more excitement by releasing his first video teaser for “Let’s Talk About Love.”

Seungri will release his second mini-album on August 19 with an offline release on August 21st and resume his solo activities in his home country. The track “Let’s Talk About Love” features Big Bang members G-Dragon and Taeyang.

Big Bang’s Seungri reveals “GG BE” is about a girl who broke his heart

Big Bang’s Seungri, who is gearing up for a solo comeback, has introduce another song from his upcoming album.

Seungri revealed that “GG BE”, the third track on second mini album ‘Let’s Talk About Love’, is actually based on his own love experience particularly about a girl who broke his heart.

He explained, “To be upfront, this song is about me. There are many songs about bad girls coming out these days like Bumkey’s ‘Bad Girl’ and CL’s ‘The Baddest Female’. I think this shows that there really has been an increase in the amount of bad girls in this world. It’s not just girls who get tricked by boys, but boys also get tricked by girls.”

“Everything about a certain girl I used to go out with were lies, and whenever I would find out, I would be really shocked. That made us grow tired and act coldly to one another. I got even more angry and felt pathetic that she was just waiting for me to say we should break up.”

Seungri continued, “I put the feelings of pain and anger that she gave me into this song. I needed a tone to go with the men's side so I asked Jennie Kim of the new YG girl group to create a charismatic bridge portion.”

He also left a straightforward message to the girl saying, “I want to say a few words to that girl. You’ll get back as much as you've done. Listen to this song and get your head straight.”

It consists of 7 songs including title track, “Gotta Talk to U”, “Let’s Talk About Love” featuring Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Taeyang, as well as “GG Be” featuring YG Entertainment trainee, Jennie Kim.

Big Bang’s Seungri once thought of quitting music + unveils second teaser image

Big Bang’s Seungri, who is gearing up for a solo comeback, confessed that he once lost his will to pursue his career in music.

Just one week prior to his second mini-album release on August 19, Seungri posted a heartfelt message on his Facebook page, reflecting on his past. He wrote, “I had once lost courage for music. I was so overwhelmed by the talented older members of the team that I wanted to do something else other than music.”

He revealed that a conversation a year ago with Yang Hyun Suk changed his thinking and returned his focus to music. “We had a conversation that would instantly reverse my wrong mental attitude. He took on a guy like me to YG and I got to be a member of group Big Bang. He made me into a decent person and had great expectations from me.”

As a result, Seungri worked hard and has been able to make better music. With his upcoming solo comeback, he revealed that he “participated in the composing and writing the lyrics of all the songs, but in the end, this is Big Bang’s music”, adding that he was greatly influenced by fellow member G-Dragon for the past 8 years.

Seungri concluded, “This album will make up for all my mistakes that I have made. For my hardworking staff, for my team, for my loving fans, and for myself.”

Seungri will release his second mini-album on August 19 (with an offline release on August 21st) and resume his solo activities in his home country. The mini-album consists of 7 songs including title track, “Gotta Talk to U”, “Let’s Talk About Love” featuring Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Taeyang, as well as “GG Be” featuring YG Entertainment trainee, Jennie Kim.

The title track “Gotta Talk to U” is a fast-tempo house genre tune and the music video will be directed by Han Sa Min, who also behind Big Bang’s “Blue”, “Bad Boy” and “Monster”.

Seungri gets compliment from Japanese singer May J

Japanese singer May J shared her experience working with Seungri (aka V.I.) on his upcoming Japanese solo album.

May J said, "When I went in Korea for the recording of 'I Know', it was my first time to meet VI-san. During our first meeting, he already gave lots of directions. He had requests like to sing the song more sweetly. I put my best to sing the song, but sometimes humor got in the way."

She continued, "VI-san gained my respect because I saw his focus with his song. I also admire that he did a lot of research about Japan. Actually, his Japanese is really good. And we promised to each other to sing 'I Know' live, so I am excited for that!"
